Inspiration
When Noah was a child, he used to sit on the back porch of his family’s cabin in the redwood covered hills of Comptche, CA. His dad would look into the distance, across the quiet valleys and point out that they could see seven ridges off into the horizon. This inspired Noah, and was a sight of wonder.
The vision of seven ridges Design is just that - Your website should be a place that inspires, is gorgeous and brings your business out onto the horizon of many possibilities.
Workflow
Getting a website made should not be a strain. It does not need to be over complicated and over thought. We make the process easy, focussing on clear communication, listening to your vision, helping to form a solid concept for your site, and providing you with a clear roadmap for gathering the content needed to move forward.
We are dedicated to making the process smooth and easy for you so that you can spend your energy building your business or practice, not on worrying about the details of the design process.
While we make the process easy for you, we do know that there are often many hurdles to overcome when building a site. Domain DNS issues, complexities of custom HTML/CSS/PHP, and inconsistent display across different devices are just a few of the potential potholes that can threaten to derail the process. We take any technical challenges in stride and resolve them without passing the stress on to you.
Ironically, designing a site to function simply and flow efficiently for the visitor can require a lot of thought and experimentation. In the words of Douglas Horton: "The art of simplicity is a puzzle of complexity." We’ll explore the options and work through the details behind the scenes to create a user experience that is intuitive to navigate and a pleasure to explore.
Technology
Although we can work with other technologies and platforms when needed, we primarily build sites using Squarespace. Many of our clients are small business owners who prefer to manage their websites independently and Squarespace’s user friendly interface and extensive documentation empower them to handle updates and maintenance themselves. For clients who choose to rely on us for ongoing updates, edits, or management, Squarespace’s efficient and flexible system enables us to complete tasks quickly and without limitations.
Intention
